★ Folkmore Roles & Attributes ★

Skills: Artist, marksmanship, slight hand to hand, piloting skills, tactical understanding and good visual memories. Being a friendly dude willing to help.
Canon Abilities: Steve’s just a boring old human here. No serum or special gifts. He’s got marksmanship skills from his time in the Army and he can pilot a large robotic suit of armor. He can do a little hand to hand but most of his skills are mental in thinking fast and tactically. He’s also got a really good visual memory.

Role: Legend
Role Qualities/Attributes: Steve has a set of kestrel wings that he can summon and dismiss as he chooses. When he doesn’t have the wings out they are a tattoo that stretches across his back and the back of his arms. When they’re out he can actually fly with them and given their shape and size he’s a very quick flier, especially good at diving and aerial maneuvers. He’s comfortable in the air from his time flying the Hydra Stomper.
Role Reasoning: No matter the universe Steve is a hero. He puts others before himself and wants to protect them. He’s got a bit of a temper but he’s never taken that temper out on the innocent. The best way to make him angry is to threaten the innocent. He’ll put himself in the middle of a fight he has no hope of winning because it’s the right thing. He believes firmly that everyone is worthy of respect, safety, and a chance to live their lives. He hates bullies and will always stand up to them.
★ Personality ★

At his core, Steve is a man of his convictions. He believes in doing the right thing, even in the face of impossible odds, angry mobs or orders from his superiors. It has gotten him beat up more times than he can count but it was his mother who taught him to always get back up and he has never forgotten that. He's got a big heart for the little guy - actually, he's got a big heart in general - and fully believes that everyone is equal and should be treated as such.

When Steve comes to care about someone it's without reservations. In general, he cares about everyone but his friends are dear to him as he didn't have many growing up. In fact, he really only had one and he was quite willing to throw his life away to protect them. Though he loves without reservations, he will stand against the people he cares about when it comes to the things he believes in. It really doesn’t take much for him to fall in love either. Just a few conversations and being seen for himself is all it takes.

There's a part of Steve that is lost and disjointed. He's got so much fight but he's often sick and weak and it frustrates him. He feels lost in his body and he knows his beliefs are considered a little out there in the 1930s and 40s. That leaves a bit of doubt in Steve about who he is or who he should be. Sometimes, he doubts that the world needs him, especially after Peggy got the serum and he didn't. He struggles sometimes to stay the fierce kid from Brooklyn because that was why he made it that far into Project Rebirth. Being able to fight with the Hydra Stomper is a huge weight off his shoulders. He can make a difference in the war at last.

One of the hardest things for Steve is his temper. He has a lot of fight in him and sometimes it can get the better of him. He takes it out on punching bags and bad guys but the fight is always under the surface, itching to get out.

In battle, he's a natural leader who can also take orders if the situation calls for it and he respects the person he's following. He does deeply respect Captain Carter and is willing to follow her to the ends of the earth. He's a good soldier but he does think for himself, especially as he adapts to using the Hydra Stomper. He is a tactical genius, adapting as the situation around him changes but he is definitely a soldier and not a spy. He cannot lie well at all.

He's also an artist, a big reader and a romantic. He's got more than a little sarcasm in him and a dry sense of humor. He's not above using people's perceptions of him to have a little fun and turn situations to his advantage. He’s a small guy, people underestimate him, and he’s happy to use that to get the upper hand. Or a giant suit of flying armor, you know whatever works.

Reaching his potential would help smooth over that disappointment he feels at not getting the serum and take away that self-doubt he feels about himself. It would make him feel like he can actually stand shoulder to shoulder with other heroes and that he’s not just there because people pity him. He can’t stand it when people pity him.
